Event Coordinator

Professional Background:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Northwest Missouri State University currently advancing to Psychiatric Mental Health Provider at Maryville University. Passionate about improving well-being, I lead a team serving the Kansas City community through

Truman Ridge Adult Day Program.

Why I Joined Her Fortress:

I joined Her Fortress because it aligns with my passion for empowering women in the diaspora to recognize their unique power and potential.

Favorite Part of the Conference:

Excited to see women walk the royal carpet, honoring their worth, and to engage in panel discussions that foster dialogue and diverse perspectives from expert leaders.

Fun Fact:

I love cooking a variety of dishes for family and friends—surprisingly, this always catches people off guard!

Emma Mia Venn

Role:

Speaker Coordinator

Professional Background:

I am a Support Analyst at Oracle (formerly Cerner) and a part-time team member with Piedmont Airlines. With a degree in Communications (Public Relations) from Avila University, I bring strong skills in communication, problem-solving, and community engagement.

Beyond my career, I am a devoted wife and mother of two. My daughter's autism diagnosis has fueled my passion for autism advocacy, and my podcast,

Afropel, reflects my love for gospel music and uplifting others.

Why I Joined Her Fortress:

I was drawn to Her Fortress because of its inspiring mission to empower individuals to push beyond limitations and reach their full potential. The founders' dedication to personal growth and impact deeply resonates with me.

I’m excited to connect with women from diverse backgrounds, hear from successful leaders, and gain valuable insights from their experiences.

Fun Fact:

I believe in uplifting and supporting women, embracing the mindset of "straightening another woman's crown without telling the world it was crooked."
