To connect and celebrate women in the diaspora by uniting their diverse experiences to build a network of inspiration and strength. Our mission is to cultivate fortitude like a fortress, reigniting shared vision, purpose, and momentum. Through strategic mentorship, networking, and collaborative resources, we empower women to rise confidently, strengthen their God-given talents, and achieve personal and professional transformation.

To establish Her Fortress as a global movement of individually confident women. We envision a fortress of faith-filled women leaders who, like Queen Esther, rise to their callings and inspire transformation across communities and generations.
Goals
Host an annual Her Fortress Women’s Conference with 150+ participants on June 7th, 2025.
Launch a mentorship program to pair 12 women with experienced mentors within the first year.
Organize quarterly networking events to foster confidence and community among participants.
Develop Her Fortress Network, an online resource hub with tools, guides, training and classes.
Partner with 10 local businesses, faith organizations, and nonprofits to expand outreach and provide additional support.
Build a sustainable network of 1000+ empowered women by 2030.
Measure and document tangible outcomes, business launches, personal milestones and spiritual growth journeys.
About Maria
Maria Tutu, founder of Her Fortress, shares her personal journey to inspire women across the diaspora to rise and thrive.
From Sudan, I arrived in the United States at a young age, carrying only a few suitcases and fewer English words. My family and I stepped into a world vastly different from the one we knew. Like so many immigrant families, my parents worked tirelessly, juggling shifts and multiple jobs to build a better future for us.
Their resilience and sacrifices planted the seeds of ambition and strength within me, even as I witnessed them face immense challenges: cultural adjustments, language barriers, and the relentless demand to work harder just to stay afloat.
